We call on the Scottish Government to order a thorough review of all the alternatives to the proposed use of large-scale pylons for the transmission of electricity generated from renewable sources.
We, the undersigned, call on the Scottish Government to order a thorough review of all the alternatives to large-scale pylons for the transmission of electricity generated renewably, including offshore submarine cables and onshore sub-terranean cabling.
We call for the full public disclosure of the total costs for each alternative.
We consider the erection of large-scale pylons a poor use of prime agricultural land which will have a negative impact on the scenic landscape of Angus, as well as a negative impact on the wellbeing of many of those who live in the vicinity of the proposed routing.
