Deliver on the Stirling City Region Deal

Since my election, I have been lobbying in Westminster to ensure that the funds are made available for the Stirling City Region Deal. This has included bringing ministers such as then First Secretary of State Damian Green, Defence Minister Gavin Williamson, and Digital Minister Matt Hancock to Stirling to show them what the money could do to rejuvenate the City of Stirling and the wider area.

On the 31st of May, the Heads of Terms were signed, putting ideas onto paper and sourcing funding from the UK and Scottish Governments.

Having signed the heads of terms, I will now work to make the promises made a reality.

City Region Deal heads of terms signed!

Today, the heads of terms for the Stirling City Region Deal have been signed! The Deal will bring £90mil of funding to the Stirling area, and will provide funds for a Aquaculture Innovation Hub, an International Environment Centre, and the new National Tartan Museum!

Welcoming Lord Duncan to Stirling

Very glad that Stirling was able to host the Scotland Office's Lord Ian Duncan before the Heads of Terms of the City Region Deal are signed, to show him what we'll be offering after the Deal is completed. He was very impressed by the plans, and the tour of our city.
