I called a debate in Westminster Hall to express my support for local museums across the country, especially those in Stirling. The Stirling Smith, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum, and Dunblane Museum are all examples of museums which store and present our shared heritage, and must be preserved for future generations. The fact that the Stirling Smith was recently at risk of losing its funding shows that we must show our support for these museums by visiting them, or risk losing them and the exhibits they contain.
This is my speech to that debate, with interventions from fellow MPs. You can read transcript of the whole debate which includes speeches from other MPs here: goo.gl/6TngKZ
