MINISTER FOR ARMED FORCES ATTENDS STIRLING ARMED FORCES DAY
Stirling welcomed the UK Government’s Minister for the Armed Forces Mark Lancaster MP this weekend, for the annual Armed Forces Day event at King’s Park.
Mark Lancaster is an Army Reservist, and has served in Kosovo, Bosnia, and Afghanistan in the Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit, also known as the sappers.
With Stephen Kerr MP, Mark met serving troops and reservists at the Stirling Armed Forces day including the Royal Logistic Corps, and the Royal Field Hospital.
Stephen Kerr MP said: Mark Lancaster’s visit to Stirling in his capacity as Minister for the Armed Forces shows his dedication to our troops from all parts of the British Isles. The day was as successful as ever and gave us all a great opportunity to thank those who are serving and who have served, and commemorate those who are no longer with us.
Mark Lancaster MP said: “It was great to return to Stirling for Armed Forces Day 2019 with excellent local MP Stephen Kerr MP. Wonderful turn out and great to see so much support for our service personnel and veterans.”
