It has been revealed that since being elected in May 2021, Nicola Sturgeon has failed to personally meet with any of Scotland's 31 Alcohol and Drug Partnerships. This is despite referring to Scotland's drug deaths crisis as "Indefensible", admitting "taking her eye off the ball", and seeing drugs deaths hit 10,000 under SNP leadership.
If this issue was a priority for the First Minister, she would have surely made time to meet with the partnerships responsible for developing local solutions for tackling addiction. She made plenty of time for selfies at COP with Greta Thunberg and international dignitaries,
The Scottish Conservatives take the issue seriously, and have put forward the Right to Recovery Bill. Read more about that here: https://www.parliament.scot/bills-and-laws/bills/proposals-for-bills/proposed-right-to-addiction-recovery-scotland-bill
The information was revealed following a Freedom of Information request from Stephen Kerr MSPs office.

"Nicola Sturgeon is not taking real crises like drug addiction seriously, preferring to dedicate civil servants to preparing for Indyref2. She is letting Scotland down on a daily basis."
