Today, it's my pleasure to welcome the man-of-the-moment, DEFRA Secretary of State Michael Gove to Stirling!
We paid a visit to the Institute of Aquaculture at the University of Stirling, where we heard about plans to put Stirling at the heart of global aquaculture, and heard a talk from Director of Research John Rogers.
The next day, we visited the Jerah planting plot.
Here, 1.3 million treesĀ ?have been planted in one of the largest forest creation schemes in Scotland, which will provide a habitat for Grouse and help to prevent flooding in the Forth Valley.
These trees will also absorb CO2, bringing us closer to becoming Carbon Neutral.
Michael was very impressed!
